For more than 50 years, Southside Streeters has been bringing together people who share a passion for American classics, hot rods, custom cars, and the stories that come with them.

Based in Howick, Auckland, we're a club built on good cars, good mates, and plenty of miles on the road. From weekend cruises and club runs to shows, events, and the occasional workshop discussion that somehow turns into a debate about carburetors versus injection, we enjoy everything that makes hot rodding special.

We take pride in supporting the local community, fund raising for charities, preserving hot rod traditions, and creating lasting friendships among members and their families.

Our members own and build a wide range of vehicles, but they all share a common thread – pre-1972 American vehicles or Hot Rod-style machines. Some are immaculate showpieces, some are ongoing projects, and some seem to have been "nearly finished" for several decades.

Southside Streeters isn't about collecting trophies (although some our members do well at this) or keeping cars hidden away in garages. It's about driving them, enjoying them, and sharing the hobby with people who understand why a Saturday spent chasing an electrical fault can still be considered a good day.
